Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
DIfE has a long-standing collaboration with Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, which is characterized by numerous joint projects and studies. Both institutions are involved in the NAKO Health Study, the nutrition cluster "NutriAct" and many other research groups and projects. Scientists from DIfE teach nutritional medicine at Charité and supervise dissertations for medical students. The DIfE collaborates with the Charité, the MDC, the German Heart Institute Berlin and the RKI in a joint location of the DZHK.
Our department head Prof. Dr. Soyoung Q Park is appointed for the W3 professorship "Neurobiology and Nutrition" together with Charité.
As part of the "NeuroCure" Cluster of Excellence at Charité, neuroscientist Dr. Rachel Lippert has taken over the junior research group "Neuronal Circuits" at DIfE in early 2020.
DIfE and Charité aim to continue this collaboration with a new joint appointment "Human Nutrition and Translational Endocrinology/Diabetology".
