1 Doctoral Student (m/f/d)


The candidate will investigate liver specific molecular effects of metabolically active cytokines within a novel DFG (German Research Foundation) funded project. This includes investigations of primary hepatocytes as well as in vivo approaches (feeding studies) using different mouse models. This interdisciplinary project is conducted in close cooperation with Fraunhofer Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Aachen the with the final goal to achieve an oral application of cytokines via bioencapsulation in edible plants to obtain liver specific effects.

Skills and Requirements

The advertised position is available initially for three years. The position will be paid according to the terms of the civil service collective bargaining act (TV-L 65 % of level E13).
